Ward Knutson Obituary – Bismarck, North Dakota

The community of Bismarck and surrounding areas is mourning the tragic loss of Ward Knutson, 63, of Ruso, North Dakota, who passed away following a vehicle accident on Highway 53 near Butte over the weekend. The North Dakota Highway Patrol confirmed his identity in an update released this week.

According to officials, the crash occurred between the evening of Saturday, November 8, and the morning of Sunday, November 9, when Ward’s 1999 Ford F-250 lost control on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle entered the south ditch, where it rolled and came to rest on its driver’s side. Sadly, Ward was found deceased at the scene. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.

Ward Knutson was known as a hardworking, kind, and down-to-earth man who was deeply respected by those who knew him. Friends and family describe him as a loyal friend and a devoted member of the Ruso and McLean County communities.
