Emery “Sam” Castimore, Jr. Obituary – Augusta, New Jersey
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emery “Sam” Castimore, Jr., cherished resident of Augusta, New Jersey, and longtime public servant. Sam passed away this past weekend after nearly two decades of courageously battling cancer, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, honor, and unwavering commitment to his community.
A respected Frankford Committeeman and Mayor Emeritus, Sam devoted much of his life to public service. His leadership, integrity, and passion for improving the lives of those around him earned him admiration and respect from colleagues, residents, and friends alike. Known for his steadfast character and compassionate heart, Sam was a true warrior in every sense of the word.
Sam’s impact extended far beyond his official roles. He was a mentor, a friend, and a pillar of strength to those who knew him. His tireless efforts in the community, combined with his approachable nature and dedication to service, made a lasting impression that will not be forgotten. The mourning bunting flies, and the American flag is at half-mast at the Frankford Township Municipal Building in his honor.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 54 High Street, Newton, NJ. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life devoted to others.
